With a BFA in Theatre and a passion for dance, J. Aisha Cornell is a dancer/choreographer whose career has found its balance between Belly Dance and Theatre.  With each art form influencing the other, Aisha’s Belly Dance style is truly unique.   Beyond Belly Dance, her dance training includes Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Flamenco, Bollywood and Folk dances from around the world.  

 

Some of her Belly Dance credits include Disney’s Epic Theatre/Hollywood Studios & The Moroccan Pavilion/Epcot (Orlando), Regent Cruise Line (India, Egypt, Oman, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Bermuda), Busch Gardens - Choreographer (Tampa), Camden House (Beverly Hills), Pars TV (Los Angeles), Moulin Rouge (Budapest), The Orpheum Theatre - Dancer/Choreographer (Vancouver), Variety Club Show of Hearts (Vancouver) and 1001 Nights Persian Night Club (Toronto). 

 

Along with her continued work as a dancer, Aisha is also the owner and creator of www.ProfessionalBellyDancers.com the first and only site that connects legitimate, professional Belly Dance Artists with audiences and casting professionals 

worldwide. 

 

Some of Aisha’s theatre credits include Seaside Theatre’s productions of Kismet, ATS & Chicago, Riverside Theatre’s Productions of The Producers, A Funny Thing…Forum, & 42nd Street and West Palm Beach Opera’s production of Carmen.  Aisha is truly married to the theatre.  Allen D. Cornell is not only the Producing Artistic Director/CEO of Riverside Theatre, he is also Aisha’s husband or as she puts it, the love of her life.  They are the proud parents of five cats and one dog.  Each pet has formally achieved child status and naps on the bed are a favorite family activity.
