Kamla Macko, is the Author of Abs & Glutes Tune Up fitness book. She received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science/Cardiac Rehab from Florida from International University.
Kamla was born in Miami, Florida. At the tender age of 4 her parents enrolled her in ballet and jazz classes. She attended Felix Verela High school where she continued dancing and excelled in sports. Kamla placed top 3 in States for Felix Varela’s Varsity Track and Field Team. She was a member of Felix Verela's basketball team and the cross-country team. Her competitive spirit on the basketball team earned her the MPV Award.
After graduating from high school Kamla went on to pursue a degree at Miami Dade College. Inspired by her mother who was a Physical Education teacher, and an Aerobics instructor Kamla taught a Caribbean Dance Aerobic class while studying a Miami-Dade College. Kamla graduated with honors in 2006 and went on to pursue a degree in Exercise Science at Florida International University. While studying at FIU she worked part-time as the Program Director at Freestyle Fighting Academy in Miami, Florida. She designed exercise programs, nutritional programs, and competition prep for her clients.
in 2009 After graduation from Florida International University Kamla relocated to Brandon, Florida to work with Xtreme Fighting Championships. Kamla managed and taught the woman's bootcamp classes and mixed martial arts classes. After two years of running the Women’s Fitness Program and Mixed Martial Arts Program Kamla started Fierce BootCamp fitness program. A few years later she moved to Tampa, Florida and created G~KAMP Fitness. The program consists of Agility Training, Strength and Conditioning and Functional Fitness. Kamla also specialize in training clients to compete at the NPC or IFBB level.
Kamla started to compete in 2007. In 2014 she won the IFBB Kentucky Championship. Over the years she competed in a total 19 shows including Arnold Classics and Ms. Figure Olympia.
